Hannah, Abby & Will

They were troopers.... first Hannah is on crutches so she had quite a walk to get back to the gardens and it was a bit chilly for everyone. The time we did have was great. You have to just love Wills eyes... so blue. The girls are beautiful, too. Abby rode her tricycle all the way to the gardens. She just loved to ride. You know I have a thing for accessories and cool shoes so you have to check out Hannah's shoe... Cool Converse, Hannah. It was nice meeting Rebecca & Lee. It is one of the things I like about photography, getting to know new people and families. You could tell they were a fun family and great to be around. You have to love the snuggles at the end where everyone is just trying to stay warm.

Thank you so much for sharing your afternoon with me. Wished it could have been a little warmer for everyone. But we got some good shots, hope you enjoy them. Have a great Christmas.

Buddy Holly performs at GRACE Church

Grace Church in Southern Pines had their Volunteer Appreciation Dinner last night and for entertainment my husband, the Worship Pastor, performed as Buddy Holly.  Last year he was Elvis.  I have to say he did a GREAT job!!!  He walked around the corner when he got his costume and I about cracked up... he really does look like him.  I hope everyone appreciated all the time and practice you put into it.  It was awesome.
Not only was the entertainment awesome but the worship center was beautiful and the staff, elders and pastors served the volunteers... that was awesome.  Thank you so much for showing your appreciation to all the volunteers.  They didn't even drop any trays:)
Just another reason why we love our church !!!!!!
You did a GREAT job Buddy... I mean Kev.  Thanks to everyone who volunteers at Grace... without you the church wouldn't run as smooth as it does.  What a GREAT church family we have.  We are BLESSED!!!!!  Merry Christmas Everyone!!

The Hoekstra's

I have to say I love the Hoekstra's.  They are some of our wonderful family from Michigan that were visiting for Thanksgiving.  I was so happy they wanted me to take their family pics while they were here.  My nephews Micah (who will turn 9 in January) &  Luke (who will turn 7 in February) and Kimmie & David the wonderful parents and my sister & brother in law.

We had a great day for the shoot... we were hoping to get some golf in the next day but the weather didn't hold off for us.  We went bowling instead and had a great time doing that.  I must say we all need to work on our game alittle:)

The boys love to play football so you will see some pics of that and make sure you check out Davids shoes... they are awesome! (Don't let anyone tell you different David:)
Thanks guys for the great morning and driving all the way to NC to see us.  We love you guys and miss you already.

Meredith

What a joy to be around, little Meredith.  I have known her mom Rebecca for about 3 years now ever since my daughter was in her preschool class.  So to see Meredith growing up so fast is alittle crazy... and when I say fast I mean FAST.  Meredith has alot of energy...she is a girl on the go.  I only wish I could bottle that energy, I would be set for life.

OK ... from the time she had hair her hair was up in piggies and with the cutest bows so when I found out we were doing the shoot I showed up hoping those piggies would be there too, and they were.  You have to love the bows, and hats and what cute cute clothes.....  I just kept on wondering what cute outfit would be next.  And Rebecca brought a Snow White costume (that she made!!!) that was so adorable.....  it was alittle chilly but Meredith stuck with it.
It was so fun doing the shoot and catching up with you Rebecca.  Hope you enjoy the pics and I look forward to having Eli in your class next year.  Thanks again for a great morning.

Gracie & Alex

Sunday after church I had the pleasure of meeting Gracie & her brother Alex. We had the shoot in Aberdeen which I loved. It was a beautiful sunny day & we had the town to ourselves. I loved that mom brought a bag of props. (Props are always fun.) Alex didn't really want to show his braces off but I got him to smile once or twice:) I loved the way they would chat back and forth while I was shooting. I wonder what they were talking about... Probably how silly they thought I was:)

Alex has an awesome walking stick that was hand carved. I just had to get a good shot of it.
I love the look on Gracie's face... I wonder where she was right then.

They were so much fun...
The entire family are BIG Carolina fans... you gotta love the hats....
I thought this was going to kill Alex... I told him he would live through it:)
It was great to meet you & your mom. You guys were so much fun. I hope I didn't make it to tough on you guys. I know the kiss was hard for Alex :) Have a great weekend off school:)
